My Teachers, My Brothers, My Family

Throughout my martial arts journey, I have been fortunate to learn from true masters who have become my teachers, brothers, and family. Kru Mark (Boungnaphon Makthepharaks), my original teacher of Dethkosin Combat Muay Thai, built the foundation for everything I do today. His teachings in ancient Muay Boran combat not only equipped me with skills but also gave me the wisdom to evolve as a martial artist.

Kru Thod (Tosapon Surawasri), founder of Tactical Thai Sword, deepened my understanding of Krabi Krabong’s weapon-based combat, while Kru Nut (Jira Mesamarn) of Buddhaisawan Krabi Krabong imparted the spiritual dimensions of Thai martial arts. Finally, Ray Dionaldo of FCS Kali sparked my initial passion for weapons training, introducing me to the intricate art of armed and unarmed combat and inspiring my continued exploration in this realm. Their legacy lives on through my teachings, as I honor their knowledge and pass it on to my students.

MY JOURNEY

My Journey: From Pain to Purpose – How Martial Arts and Healing Converged

Three years ago, my world was shattered when my daughter suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI). The helplessness of watching her battle through pain, navigate complex medical systems, and fight legal obstacles was unbearable. As a father, the emotional and mental turmoil consumed me, but it also led to a profound transformation in how I viewed martial arts and healing.

For over 25 years, I’ve trained rigorously in martial arts, studying under revered masters in Muay Thai Boran, Krabi Krabong, Kali and modern combatives. What began as a pursuit of physical excellence evolved into a journey of personal growth. During my daughter’s recovery, the teachings of my martial arts masters and the family I found through this journey my lifeline. I realized that martial arts wasn’t just about fighting; it was a tool for healing, personal growth, and resilience.

The result of this experience is the development of a unique self-defense system that integrates traditional Thai combat arts with modern healing principles. My system teaches not only physical self-defense but also mental and spiritual empowerment. The journey with my daughter changed the way I approach everything—from martial arts to life—and it is this holistic perspective that I share with my students.
